Historic Sites & Monuments

East River Mountain Overlook Off U.S. 460, Located 3,500 feet above sea level, this overlook has an observation deck for spectacular views of Bluefield and East River Mountain. You'll also find hiking trails and picnic shelters with tables and grills.

Hank Williams, Sr. Memorial Bridge Located off Interstate 77, Exit 14, Named for one of the greatest country songwriters in the world, this bridge carries traffic across the Bluestone River on Route 19 at Spanishburg. On the night of December 31, 1952, Hank Williams crossed over this bridge shortly before his death.
