Emerson Point Park Located on Snead Island, 941-748-4501, History comes alive at this 1,200 year old Indian village that contains the largest remaining Indian Mound on Florida's west coast. Visitors can explore the temple mound and surrounding middens that were home to native Indian tribes.

Manatee County Agricultural Museum 1015 Sixth Street West, Palmetto, FL 34221, Located within the Palmetto Historical Park, 941-721-2034, Exhibits which reflect the rich agricultural heritage of Manatee County is showcased at this museum that features five rooms containing the County's primary commodities including livestock, vegetables, citrus, horticulture, and commercial fishing.
