Downtown Arts Center (DAC) 141 East Main Street, Lexington, KY 40507, 859-225-0370, The DAC is home to three organizations: LexArts, The Ann Tower Gallery, and the Actors Guild of Lexington. The first floor houses LexArts' box office, the black box theater, Alfalfa's Restaurant and the lower level of the Ann Tower Gallery. The second floor includes the City Gallery, rehearsal room and DAC administrative offices.

Historic Homes & Buildings

Ashland - The Henry Clay Estate 120 Sycamore Road, Lexington, KY 40502, 859-266-8581, Henry and Lucretia Clay had a home at Ashland from around 1806 until 1852. At its largest, the estate covered up to 600 acres. Hemp, tobacco and grains were grown and livestock was raised. It is a registered National Historic Landmark. It is closed on Mondays.  more...

Hunt-Morgan House (circa 1814) 201 North Mill Street, Lexington, KY, Located on the Corner of Mill and Second Streets, The Federal style Hunt-Morgan House has many beautiful architectural features, including the Palladian window with fan and sidelights. There is a collection of early Kentucky furniture, 19th century paintings, and articles of the period. The Alexander T. Hunt Civil War Museum features an extensive collection of Civil War relics and memorabilia. The House is open for guided tours Wednesday through Sunday from mid-April through mid-December.
