Located at the foot of Parkerson Avenue
The biggest concentration of rice mills and dryers in South Louisiana. The tall buildings are the dryers, in which hot air is pumped through the fresh product. In the late summer, this area is enveloped in a cloud of rice dust as trucks are weighed and unload their harvest.
