• Stevens Center, The

  A magnificently restored, Neoclassical theatre that was originally a 1929 silent movie theatre and is now the primary performance space for the North Carolina School of the Arts. A total of 1,380 seats on two levels is inside the theater and a wide variety of events, concerts, and performances are held here.

  Since 1935, this nonprofit theatre group has presented professional level productions of musicals, dramas and comedies. The average season includes two musicals and four straight plays.
