Fort Seward Wagon Trail

The Ft. Seward Wagon Train leads participants on an annual week-long adventure across the North Dakota prairies in an old-fashioned wagon train. Usually held during the month of June, the wagon train starts at the historic Fort Seward Park, overlooking the city of Jamestown, North Dakota. Period dress is required and evenings are spent around the campfire while stories are shared, songs are sung, and crafts are demonstrated. An experienced "teamster" is assigned to drive each wagon, which are powered by teams of draft horses and sometimes mules. The wagon train is also equipped with a "chuck wagon." more...
