Consecrated by Bishop O'Reilly of Fargo in 1914, the 140 feet long and 50 feet wide American Gothic-style church is made of trimmed granite and rock faced while the superstructure is of pressed Hebron brick and Bedford stone trimmings. A re-created prairie town of more than 20 buildings, the Frontier Village features original buildings from the frontier villages of North Dakota that have been moved here and filled with antiques and artifacts. Franklin School in Jamestown, North Dakota educated public school students in Stutsman County from 1901 to 2001. The CSi Technology Center continues that tradition by offering a variety of computer classes and other school programs to the community at Franklin School, the oldest remaining school in Jamestown. An active military fort from 1872-1877, Fort Seward now houses an interpretive center that displays artifacts that have been excavated from the site's archaeological digs, Flags Across America, North Dakota's largest America flag; a Veterans' Memorial and views of the James River Valley. National Buffalo Museum and Bison Herd

Near the intersection of Highway 281 and Interstate 94, the National Buffalo Museum focuses primarily on the history of bison in the plains. Exhibits include Plains Indian artifacts, artwork, 19th century firearms used by bison hunters, remains of prehistoric bison, a children’s room featuring wildlife of North Dakota, and a video presentation about the history of bison. A gift shop, educational programs, community events and a bison herd of about 30 head that includes White Cloud, a rare albino “White Buffalo;” and her two calves can also be enjoyed at the National Buffalo Museum. more...North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame

Housed in the historic Arts and Crafts-style Lutz Mansion, the Stutsman County Memorial Museum features carved wood, embossed plaster, a fresco, Art Nouveau-style stained glass, Tiffany lamp and other period antiques and memorabilia in such themed rooms as the Library, Railroad Room, Music Room, Parlor, Kitchen, Ballroom, Country Store, Barber/Beauty Shop, Nursery Room, Medical Room and the Post Office.
