The work is a composition of finely fitted stone, rising in ramps and swirling terraces around pools and trees and fountains out of the rock bed of an abandoned bluestone quarry. Catskill Animal Sanctuary 3156 Old Stage Road, Saugerties, NY 12477, 845-336-8447, Located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, Catskill Animal Sanctuary provides a safe and loving haven for abused and abandoned horses and farm animals. Since 2001, CAS has provided refuge for about 900 such animals, including horses, ponies, cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, rabbits, and a variety of birds. Join them for a farm tour on weekends from 11 to 4, April through November.
