    Originally launched in 1948, the Academy Theater was a popular Montavilla destination until its closure in the 1970s. Over the following years, it fell into disrepair, but a full-scale renovation has recently been completed. Great attention was paid to every detail of the project. Using vintage photos from the original opening night, even the theater's signature marquee has been recreated to imbue the building with authentic 1940s charm. It features Flying Pie Pizza by the slices, Nathan's Hot Dogs, fresh garden salads, popcorn, ice cream, and candy. If you're wanting a little healthier alternative, they also serve fresh fruit, organic chocolate and four flavors of organic juice. They have ten microbrew beers on tap, six selections of wine, sodas, iced tea and bottled water. Bring the kids with you!
