    Known as the oldest standing home in Marion County, this log home is open for tours seasonally and also by appointment. "Forgotten Arts and Crafts" workshops, private lessons and demonstrations are scheduled throughout the year.  map

    The first residence in Shinnston, this log home is maintained as a living history project and is open for tours every Wednesday, April through October.

  • Barrackville Covered Bridge (circa 1852)

    Travel back in time when you see this 148 foot single lane covered bridge that is listed in the National Register of Historic Landmarks.  map

  • Jefferson Street High Level Bridge (circa 1921)
    Exit 137 of I-79, Follow 310 North
    Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this historic bridge has recently undergone a $23.5 million dollar restoration. Spanning the Monongahela River, rail lines and city streets, this 1,266 foot structure on three graceful arch rings was one of the earliest reinforced concrete arch bridges in the country.  map

  • Marion County Vietnam Veterans Memorial

    This memorial honors the memory of local county men who died in Vietnam. The six-ton monument is inscribed with the names of those 27 men from Marion County, WV. Also located there is a Huey Helicopter which was actually flown in Vietnam.  map
