Cowboy Action Shooting featured on the 4th. Sunday of every month, beginning at approximately 9 AM. Competition Shooting event in the hills, a Cowboy shootout in the town square, and music provided by local musicians. Visit the farm-style buildings and shops. William and Jeanie Cook were pioneers in developing the coal mining industry in Walker County and the United States. William planned and managed the construction of this home around 1900. Cook personally selected each tree to be used in construction of the home site. This home is listed on the landmarks register and honors the heritage these Scottish immigrants have passed on to their descendants. map
