Jeremiah Lee Mansion (circa 1768) 161 Washington Street, Marblehead, MA 01945, 781-631-1768, This wonderful Georgian House that dates to 1768 was the home of an enterprising and successful ship owner and patriot who was involved in funding the American Revolution against Britain; the interior features intricate carvings and original English wallpaper, as well as period paintings, artifacts and furnishings.  map

King Hooper Mansion 8 Hooper Street, Marblehead, MA 01945, 781-631-2608, This Eighteenth Century house, with gardens, features art exhibits by the Marblehead Arts Association, and is named in remembrance of William Hooper, a native who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and matriculated at Harvard University.
