Shirley Plantation 501 Shirley Plantation Road, Charles City, VA 23185, 804-829-5121, 800-232-1613, Virginia's oldest plantation, this plantation was settled in 1613. Knowledgeable interpreters in the main house offer a unique look at the Hill-Carter family, who have lived at Shirley continuously for nearly four centuries.
