Historic Mansker's Station Frontier Life Center 705 Caldwell Road, Nashville, TN 37070, Located 13 Miles North in Goodlettsville, 615-859-3678, Mansker's Fort is an authentically reconstructed 1779 log station, which was typical of Mansker's first settlement. Considered to be one of the most historically accurate in the nation, the fort offers a "hands-on" study of the lifestyle of early settlers. Built in 1787, this home is one of the oldest standing brick structures in Middle Tennessee.

Tennessee State Capitol (circa 1859) Located Between 6th & 7th on Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37243, 615-741-2692, Designed by architect William Strickland, who is buried in the north facade, the Greek Revival-style Tennessee State Capitol is one of the oldest working capitols in the nation and contains includes numerous statues including those honoring Sam Davis, Sgt. Negley, to defend Nashville against Confederate Army attacks, Fort Negley became the largest inland stone Union fortification west of Washington, D.C. during the Civil War. The restored Fort is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Centennial Art Center 25th Avenue North & Park Plaza, Nashville, TN, North Corner of Centennial Park, 615-862-8442, An important part of Nashville Tennessee's Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, Centennial Art Center is located in the 25th Avenue North and Park Plaza / Charlotte Avenue corner of Centennial Park. It was originally built as a swimming complex in 1921. Closed in 1959, it was renovated in 1971, becoming the first Metro Nashville Government-owned structure rehabilitated for "Adaptive Reuse." Outdoor courtyard areas were developed to include a performance space, exhibition spaces, and work areas.
